A fantastic effort from all, and the soundboard recordings are near perfect. Bob is on fire. The old standards are attacked with the same fervor and alternate phrasing that he uses on the gospel songs, and the result is incredible. One exception is Girl Of The North Country. Bob sings it beautifully, but the band flounders like a bunch of amateurs.

In the summertime, ah in the summertime In the summertime when you were with me I got the heart and you got the blood We cut through iron and we cut through mud Then came the warnin' that was before the flood That set everybody free Fools they made a mock of sin Our loyalty they tried to win But you were closer to me than my next of kin.

Bob plays organ on this version of Heart Of Mine. The title track of the soon to be released LP was only performed a handful of times, and this is a good version of it. And lastly, kudos to the Thinman for traveling time a few months to the first ever performance of Every Grain Of Sand.

lyrics of Heart Of Mine by Bob Dylan in Shot Of Love album - Heart of mine be still You can play with fire but you'll get the bill Don't let her know Don't let her know that you love her Don't be a fool, don't be blind Heart of mineHeart of mine go back home You got no reason to wande.

Meanwhile, “Heart of Mine,” “Watered-Down Love,” and “The Groom’s Still Waiting At the Altar” are fascinating songs that burn with sexual frustration and self-pity, not spiritual devotion. Under Chuck Plotkin’s production Dylan found the ragged county of “In the Summertime,” which shuffles with the grace of great Neil Young.

On the most superficial level, "Heart of Mine" is a song about Dylan's complicated romantic feelings. He doesn't trust love or romance and is trying to talk his heart out of opening up to a woman. It'll only be trouble for you if you let her in Don't let her hear you want her.
