"Lip Up Fatty" is a single released by British 2 Tone and ska band Bad Manners in June , which reached No. 15 in the UK Singles Chart. It is one of a number of songs by Bad Manners about 'being fat', (a reference to the round figure of frontman, Buster Bloodvessel).

BAD MANNERS Ska 'n' B ( UK track vinyl LP including Special Brew, Lip Up Fatty, Woolly Bully and Ne-Ne-Na-Na-Na-Na-Nu-Nu. The picture sleeve has some shelfwear & age discolouration present but retains its black & yellow song-hype sticke r to the front and the vinyl has only light signs of play MAGL).

Bad Manners were also-rans in the British ska movement circa , and their debut album ends up on the B List, as well. Compared to the first records from The (Engligh) Beat, Madness, The Specials, and The Selecter, Ska 'n' B is no more and no less than a fairly fun and pretty silly collection of solid original material and some goofy cover songs.. Entertaining, but certainly not essenti/5(4).

The original album ends with 4 original songs by Bad Manners, "Lip Up Fatty" a fine-tempo hommage to the fatty people; "Special Brew" the love-song any pop album must contain (even if the object of your love desires is that special brew); "Inner London Violence" another of my favorites from all-time Bad Manners discography and, at the same time /5(19).
